Mia Dianda, MS, BCBA, LBA
Mia Dianda, Director and Owner of Advanced Behavioral Solutions, LLC, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is a licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Oklahoma. Mia has been working in the field of special education, ABA and Autism since 2000. She has a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and has completed the mentor program with Michelle Garcia-Winner in Social Thinking. She also was a special educator for 8 years in the state of California. She has a wide range of experience working with children along the autism spectrum, and has worked with individuals ranging in age from 2-16 privately and both in a clinical and educational setting.Her expertise includes functional behavior assessments, program development, data collection & analysis, parent & professional training, Discrete Trial Instruction, applying verbal behavior methodologies into programming, conducting social groups, classroom management and functional communication training. She is an active member of the Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), Texas Association of Behavior Analysis (TxABA), Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) as well as the Verbal Behavior Special Interest Group (VB SIG).

Group work is a powerful and effective way for children to learn through peer modeling and “in the moment” feedback. Our groups teach skills which can help children who have difficulties with:
~ Joining in
~ Managing emotions
~ Reading social cues
~ Being “other-focused” during conversations, small group projects, games, etc.
~ Using friend-making skills such as friendly body language and eye contact
~ Negotiating and compromising
~ Being flexible
~ Following directions
Groups meet once a week for 60 minutes and consists of 4 individuals who are similar in age and skill level.
